Timo is a researcher at Climate Adaptation Services (CAS) and the Institute of Environmental studies (VU-IVM). His work evolves around the topics of exceptional weather events and climate information for the Caribbean. Timo investigates exceptional weather events through the UNSEEN approach and works on bridging the gap between science and practice to enhance preparedness to exceptional weather events. Additionally, Timo plays a role in the creation of a climate impact atlas tailored specifically for the BES islands, contributing to an advanced understanding of climate challenges in the region.
