Efi Rousi
- Postdoc at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research
I am a Geographer with an MSc in Meteorology and Climatology and a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences and Climate Change. In 2015 I left my country of origin, Greece, to continue my research in Germany. I worked as a postdoctoral researcher for a year at the Meteorology Institute of Freie Universität Berlin (DAAD scholarship holder) and since 2016 at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), where I joined Dim Coumou’s working group on Climate Extremes. My research focus is on atmospheric teleconnections and the use of machine-learning techniques to study their temporal and spatial variability in a changing climate. I am also interested in the impacts of atmospheric circulation on extremes, such as heatwaves, droughts, floods, etc.
